The 603rd player in the world, who failed in the third and final qualifying round of the main draw against the Italian Giulio Zeppieri (6-3, 6-4), will not succeed his compatriot Luca Van Assche.
Gabriel Debru (16) and Arthur Gea (17) are the only two French survivors in the round of 16. In the women’s draw, Yaroslava Bartashevich (17) is the only tricolor to emerge victorious from her second-round duel.
