Tsitsipas: “Tennis is the most complicated sport”

Stefanos Tsitsipas closed their qualification to the quarterfinals of the ATP Roma 2022 after his victory against Karen Khachanov 4-6, 6-0 and 6-3 in 1 hour and 53 minutes of play. The Greek tennis player experienced a tough start to the match, in which he failed to connect and gave up the first set against the Russian, who was totally outmatched in the second and third sets, where he could only win three games. The Greek, after his advance to the next round, commented on the difficulties he has experienced on Thursday. “Tennis is the most complicated sport that exists. If you make small mistakes, you can really find yourself at a disadvantage. A pause in our sport, in men’s tennis, could mean a lot. You find yourself chasing all the time.”

“To be honest, not a great way to serve today in the first set. To rush too much, to have too many things on my mind at the same time. Once I established a clear picture and focused on timing, it was very different in terms of being able to make the right decisions at the right time.”
