Top tennis player at Roland Garros throws away racket and hits child in the audience

The little boy, sitting in one of the front rows of the audience, got the racket in his face, against his eye and cheek. This can be seen on images from Eurosport.

When the tennis star saw that she had hit a child, she apologized. It was briefly discussed whether Begu would receive a punishment, but she got away with it: she only received a reprimand and was then allowed to continue playing.

Win and a hug

And she did that successfully: she won the decisive third set and with it the match. The boy was allowed to have a picture with her at the end of the game and received a hug from her.
