The well-known Paris landmark will offer overnight stays for just a euro

The public has not yet looked at the iconic red mill that gave the cabaret its name. This will change during June, when a total of six people will have the opportunity to sleep in the local “secret” room, which has been specially adapted for this purpose only. On the Airbnb portal, which offers accommodation, the room is described as a boudoir full of Art Nouveau elements, which also includes a miniature paper stage.

The whole room is styled in the Belle Époque period, which is bordered on 1890 and 1914. During this period, the Moulin Rouge, in which the famous cancan dance was born, experienced a golden era. Guests can enjoy a range of decorations as well as costumes for rent. The room is dominated by a pink canopy bed.

There will also be a private terrace next to the mill, where they will enjoy views of Montmartre streets. The experience will also include a cabaret tour, a venue for a performance or a three-course dinner on the terrace.

A nice detail in the decoration of the room is a small paper stage with cancan dancers.

“The performance at Mouling Rouge is an escape from everyday life, offering immersion in the charms of French cabaret. The interior of the mill is inspired by the belle époque period and transports visitors to the time from which this timeless cabaret arose, “said dancer Claudine Van Den Bergh, who is the hostess of the experience.

The film multiplied popularity

The room is designed exclusively for two guests, so together six people will be able to take part in the overnight stay. The dates are June 13, 20 and 27, the reservation will open on the evening of May 17. Accommodation should cost only the euro, only the fastest will get to it.

The Moulin Rouge has been an icon of Paris since its inception. However, the popularity of the cabaret was greatly multiplied by the musical film of the same name from 2001, in which Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor played the lead roles. Paradoxically, the film was not shot at all in Paris, but at the Australian film Fox Studios in Sydney.

Guests will dine on the romantic terrace.
