MAZATLAN._ High-level meetings were experienced during the second day of the Amstel Ultra Cup Tennis Tournament 2022which takes place in the facilities of the El Cid Clubhouse.
A day full of exciting matches took place this Friday at El Cid, within the different categories convened in this tournament, where the tennis players left everything on the court.
Within the Women’s Doubles ‘C’ category, the couple made up of Gabriela Aréchiga and Jennie Smith managed to add their first victory by beating Alioth Padilla and Astrid Ramírez by a score of 6-2 and 6-1.
In this match, Aréchiga and Smith jumped onto the field with great determination, showing a forceful offense to keep the attack of Padilla and Ramírez at bay, who could do little.
Within this same category, those who also won an impressive victory were Irma Chong and Violeta Pérez by beating Aída Ríos and Cristina Ibarra by a score of 6-2 and 6-2.
Both Chong and Pérez firmly planted themselves behind the net, so that, using their best techniques with the racket, they could get this result, leaving Ríos and Ibarra with a bitter taste in their debut.
Another of the categories that had its first day in this tournament was the Women’s Singles ‘D’, where Karina Osuna won by a score of 8-2 over Andrea Sarabia, while Adriana Vázquez beat Helen Velarde by a score of 8-0.
