Schalke brings new defensive jewel!
When they return to the Bundesliga, the Royal Blues (planning for a budget of around 40 million euros in the 1st division) cannot afford expensive professionals and are therefore looking for inexpensive new players.
Now sports director Rouven Schröder (46) has struck again on the transfer market and got a real bargain.
As the club has confirmed, Ibrahima Cissé (21) has been signed by top Belgian club KAA Gent! BILD had previously reported about it.

The central defender comes on a free transfer and has a contract until 2026. The signing of the deal with the 1.96 meter giant is said to have taken place several weeks ago.
► According to transfermarkt.de, Cissé’s market value is a mere 100,000 euros. A real bargain!
► The new signing actually comes from Gent’s U21 team.
Cissé has only been in the squad three times for the first division team – once for 4 minutes on the field.
Rouven Schröder, sporting director of Schalke: “Ibrahima has everything it takes to become a really good footballer. Not only does he have an incredibly exciting profile, he also has a good character. We are convinced that he will be an important building block in our defense in the future. We will work on that together with him.”
Cissé explains: “Schalke is a big step for me, which I’m really looking forward to and for which I have a lot of respect. I’ve heard and read a lot about Schalke, it’s a great club with a great history.”
