PGA Championship Golf 2022: Adri Arnaus resists in Tulsa and Larrazbal will have to come back

CLike all ‘major’, the PGA Championship has a field, the Southern Hills, which does not forgive mistakes. Paul Larrazbal (77 shots, +7), who was returning to a major for the first time since 2017 and after two wins on the DP World Tour this year, ran into more than one ‘trap’. Adri Arnaus (72, +2) dealt better with obstacles.

Pablo’s ordeal began on the 7th hole and he didn’t make a par again until the 13th. On the 7th hole, his lap began to go awry with a double bogey after his ball tested the water. The inaccuracies extended to eight, with a tee shot that went over the green. Unfortunately Larrazbal was not fine from the tee.

Arnaus, also a winner in Europe this season, did not have nearly as many problems as his countryman. His punch helped him and if he fine-tunes his drive, the Catalan can take a great result from Tulsa. His pothole occurred from 7 to 9 due to failing fairways.
