Peress will remain on the Red Bull team for another two years: F1LV Blogs

The new deal stipulates that Serhio Peress, who has just won the Monaco GP, will retain his place in Red Bull for another two years.

The contract with the Red Bull team means that Serhio Peress will be a member of Max Verstapen’s team at least until the end of 2024, as the world champion also has a long-term contract.

After Daniel Richtero left the team, Red Bull tried to find a rider in his junior team, but neither Pierre Gazli nor Alex Albon’s results were good enough to continue the long-term cooperation. Red Bull has decided to move away from its youth program to Serhio Peres, who played a major role in the final stage last year to help Verstapen beat Mercedes leader Luis Hamilton in the season standings.

Although the 32-year-old Mexican is still considered the second driver of Red Bull, his performance in the Monaco GP was superior throughout the weekend, which naturally led to his first victory this season. After seven stages, Peress is only 15 points behind Max Verstapen, a member of the team and the overall leader.

According to unofficial estimates, Serhio Peresa’s current contract with Red Bull allows him to earn around $ 8 million a year, but unlike many team sports, F1 contracts are not officially released.

Peres’ new contract will severely hamper the next career steps for other Red Bull riders, Pierre Gazli, Yuki Cunod and Alex Albon.
