Another NBA Regular Season Award Official: Monty Williams viene eletto Coach of the Year 2021/22. This is the first time Williams has received the Red Auerbach Trophy. Monty joins Cotton Fitzsimmons and Mike D’Antoni as coach of Phoenix Suns winning. Overwhelming victory for the Virginia native who received 81 votes in first place, behind Taylor Jenkins dei Memphis Grizzlies e Erik Spoelstra dei Miami Heat.
Williams led the Suns to the best record of the league with 64 wins, also scoring the highest win percentage in franchise history. Phoenix closed with a record of 32-9 both at home and away, third best result in NBA history. Phoenix also placed with a streak of 18 successes in a row and a 47-0 since the team took the lead after the third quarter. Monty Williams has won the award twice Coach of the month and drove the Team LeBron all’All-Star Game. A super deserved award for one of the best coaches in the basketball scene.
