Mendoza had a great participation in the National Judo

Mendoza had an excellent participation in the National Judo Opening Championship held in the City of Villa Carlos Paz between May 6 and 8. The delegation obtained 8 medals: 3 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze.

On Friday it was the turn of the children’s and junior categories. The judoka from Andes Talleres Yamil Visciglia won the gold medal in the Children A category up to 47 kg. Zoe Miranda, Oriana Barrientos, Dionel Villas, Lucas Aguilar, Keila Villarruel, Gonzalo Gentile and Agustin Guevara and Martina Perez also participated.

On Saturday, the cadet and senior categories competed. The Malargue judokas Keila Villarruel and Dionel Villar won the gold and bronze medals in their categories: cadets up to 57 and cadets up to 60. For his part, the athlete from Andes Talleres Juan Castro got the silver medal in novice cadets up to 66 kg . Agustin Benavidez, Agustin Manzano, Morena Giovarruscio, Dailer Barrientos, Emiliano De Marco, Francisco Alvarado, Agustin Guevara, Bautista Gentile and Nahir Barrera will also participate.

Sunday was the day for the graduate and novice kyu categories. Andes Talleres athlete Jorge Sarracino won gold in novices up to 81 kg. The UNCuyo judoka Morena Giovarruscio did the same in novices up to 48 obtaining the silver medal. The bronzes came from the judoka from Las Heras Renzo Camargo in novices up to 90 kg and from the judoka from UNcuyo Dailer Barrientos in novices up to 55. Juan Castro, Agustin Benavidez, Agustin Manzano and Lucas Aguilar also participated.
