After the Erling Haaland affair, one of the other great sagas of the next transfer window is about to know its epilogue. Kylian Mbappé confirmed it himself at the UNFP Trophies ceremony, his choice is “almost” made as to his destination for next season.
If the player has not specified what his future home base will be, the daily Marca claims that an agreement has been finalized between the French star and Real Madrid. The two parties would have concluded last week, during Mbappé’s visit to Madrid which had the French and Spanish press in turmoil.
But Real Madrid general manager José Angel Sanchez took the opportunity of the striker’s arrival in Spain to close the file, according to Marca. The Spanish newspaper explains that Sanchez has canceled several appointments scheduled with other agents to promote the deal with Mbappé.
The Frenchman said on Sunday that he would announce his choice ahead of the France squad gathering in June. Marca specify that he should sign a five-year contract and that his salary will be much lower than what the Parisians have put on the table to try to keep their jewel.
