Manchester United: Rangnick slips through the rags over 1 million euros – football

In his view, the season can be over NOW!

Ralf Rangnick (63) experiences one low point after the next with Manchester United. At the weekend his team suffered a rough 4-0 defeat in Brighton. Fourth place in the Premier League is out of reach and qualification for the Champions League.

That also means: Rangnick’s big bonus is gone. No premier class – no negotiated extra premium! Rangnick would have received 1.1 million euros for reaching the Champions League. This is reported by The Mirror.

Interim coach Rangnick, in office since December, has only won three of the last 13 competitive games with the “Red Devils”.

Club legend Rio Ferdinand would prefer not to hear a word from Rangnick, demanding that the coach be banned from speaking. Ferdinand: “I don’t think it’s good that the coach washes dirty laundry in public. His impatience and frustration is expressed in his interviews. If I were the club I wouldn’t allow them another press conference.”

Ouch! Bonus gone, record bad – worst season in the Premier League on points since Alex Ferguson left in 2013 – and one game left. On May 22, the season ends with the game at Crystal Palace.

Then Rangnick’s nightmare on the sidelines will come to an end. He becomes a consultant at United and takes over the coaching position in Austria, should lead the national team to EURO 2024 in Germany.

There would probably be a fat bonus for that!
