La Penya goes into ecstasy (100-68)

BadalonaCollective Nirvana at the Olympic Palace, where the Youth of Badalona went into ecstasy. The Supporters Club used a memorable first half to secure victory in the first game of the quarterfinals (100-68) and erase the bad taste that the last two clashes against Lenovo Tenerife had left. Carles Duran, who had the date underlined in the calendar for a long time, tactically dominated a game marked by ambition and local success.

The match was green-and-black from the first minute of play. Lenovo Tenerife could only score two points in the first five minutes and the Peña took advantage to build a nine-point lead (13-2). The local difference reached 20 points at the end of a first quarter in which the visiting team, without success in the shot (3/17), had a very bad time (27-7).

The first 20 minutes of the Penya will go directly to the video library of the green-and-black fans. Encouraged by their aim in the outside shot and by a very energetic rhythm, the Youth got to dominate the marker by 33 points of difference (54-21). The Badalona team scored 10 of the first 14 triples they tried during an anthological first half in which they distributed 13 assists. Impossible to do better.

The second half was conditioned by the first, but the Youth began the third period with the ambition intact and the desire to give a magical night to their fans. Joel Parra, who scored 8 points in four minutes, stepped hard and the local difference reached 39 points (73-34). Smashing, counterattacks and triples followed one another in a match in which they all put on a Supporters Club with the ambition for the clouds and the desire to vindicate themselves against the rival that left them without the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey de Granada. The last quarter was a formality.
