The San Marino Judo Club On April 30th he took part in the 1st round of the Grand Prix Veterans / 4th International Open Lombardia Judo Veterans, which was held at the Palazzetto dello sport in Besana Brianza (MB).
It was to represent the club Jessica Zannoni accompanied by his coach and athletic trainer Giovanni Troy.
Jessica, who currently competes in the category up to 70kg, has decided to enroll in the higher category, up to 78kg, due to a lack of athletes in her category. But despite this she made a really good performance: three matches made and three won with the maximum score (ippon) before time runs out.
A result that allowed Jessica to get on the top step of the podium.
The last meeting faced the very strong Lara Battistella (European master gold 2017, European silver 2018, silver at the 2021 world championships) managing the match with great confidence and defeating it by immobilization before the deadline expires.
Another step towards Malta 2023 has been taken.
