MONTREAL — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an accident on Highway 15 North, in the Lower Laurentians, Monday afternoon.
The collision between the motorcycle and an SUV occurred during a lane change maneuver, just before the interchange with Highway 640, in Boisbriand, around 1 p.m.
The motorcyclist, a woman in her fifties, was injured and we fear for her life, according to a spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), Stéphane Tremblay.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Traffic lanes were closed to allow police to analyze the scene, causing significant delays, but were reopened at 3:45 p.m.
The SQ investigation is continuing.
