Accuracy, coordination, physical and mental commitment, but also values such as friendship, loyalty, respect, acceptance of oneself and of the other: these are the key words of the 27th Fisdir Paralympic Judo Interregional Meeting held yesterday, May 22, 2022, in Pasiano di Pordenone and organized by Sekai Budoedited by Ermanno Furia, with the collaboration of the entire Pordenone club. Present at the race, among others, the Sicilian delegation represented by the SSD Conca d’Oro of Palermo, led by the coach and regional technical referent of discipline, Joshua Giglio.

“A really well organized race – said Giosué Giglio -, it is the first year that we participate with our club and I, in particular, as a federal technical member. I have seen a good number and a good technical level from the athletes – Giglio specified – and it was very interesting to see jobs on the right and left, with changes of direction, which make it clear that, in their respective clubs, the boys work for very high level. Surely the integrated work with the able-bodied stimulates a lot the kids to have different stresses, which lead to a 360 ° educational and sporting growth of the athlete, and I think it is important to participate in as many races as possible to make our athletes meet much more often. Furthermore, the awareness that the collaboration project with FIJLKAM has been promoted and carried forward – he concluded – heralds an increase in the technical level of children with intellectual disabilities also in the future “.

To win the gold for the -55 kg agonists category was Gabriele Zarbo, an athlete with interesting technical qualities who have shown, especially in high level and depth events, how much the judoka is able to close a race to his advantage without too much effort. Still on the agonist side, silver medal for Fausto Dolce and Gabriele Alfeo Gaspare in the -66 kg category who placed their seal on an important tatami that anticipates a markedly growing path for both athletes. To close the class of agonists, the bronze for the category -73 kg agonists won very well by Giuseppe Caccamo.
