José Jeunechamps is the new coach of Seraing!

Jeunechamps coached Seraing first between July 2005 and December 2006 then between March and November 2016, evolving in the meantime with the hopes of Standard and as an assistant in Metz and Charlton. After his second departure from Pairay, he was added to Standard, Cercle de Bruges, OHL, Antwerp and Mouscron, where he took over the team last October, replacing Enzo Scifo. He succeeds Frenchman Jean-Louis Garcia who arrived on January 3. Jeunechamps confided his ambition on the club’s website: “To allow the club to consider a third consecutive season in D1A as soon as possible. The important thing will be to put in place the ingredients to get there. In my opinion, there are two priorities: the team and the training conditions.” As for his playing philosophy: “I’m a follower of verticality. I like that we play forward. I hate repeated side passes. Pressing, playing between the lines, that’s part of my philosophy.
