Beerschot is licking his wounds after a dramatic season, resulting in a relegation. A new sporting structure was installed, expanding the role of general manager Frédéric Van den Steen.
What is striking is that the name of board member Jan Van Winckel is nowhere to be read. Van Winckel would take on another position within United World. The operational part at Beerschot is no longer part of this. The Football Business Development structure was introduced at Beerschot at the beginning of this season. Van Winckel will remain an investor in the club and a member of the Board of Directors. He also remains a partner in United World.
Together with Gunther Dieltjens he distanced himself from the operational side. They have put in place a management structure that works full time at the club.
