In La Rural were the emotions of Tuesday with Judo and Karate

This Tuesday the Martial Arts dominated the III South American Youth Games Rosario 2022 and the emotion in the La Rural Cluster was on the surface with medalists in Karate and Judo.

It was the second day for Karate, with the Argentine Jenifer Bolado achieving the silver medal in the final against Nicole Gamboa from Venezuela in women’s -59kg and the Argentine Patricio Montalvetti reached the silver medal after losing to the Peruvian Fernando Villega in -68kg. .

In Judo, Valentina Alamo Torres won the bronze medal in women’s -52kg and Galo Villavicencio won the bronze medal in men’s -55kg. Thus, the Argentine delegation added two more medals.

In Karate, Peru won the gold medal in women’s -59kg and Venezuela did it in -68kg. While Argentina was double silver in these categories thanks to Jenifer Bolado and Patricio Montalvetti, respectively.

Judo debuted

In Judo’s debut at the Games, medals were awarded in three categories (women’s -52kg; men’s -55kg; men’s -66kg) and advancement was made in the women’s -44kg category draw.

Among the winners stood out Brazil (2 gold and 1 silver), Colombia with 1 gold and 1 silver, Ecuador with 2 silver and 1 bronze, Argentina with two bronze and finally Chile and Venezuela with a bronze each.
