Four medals in the booty of Cus – Sport

Four medals in three sports, two gold, one silver and one bronze to complete the work: the Cus Macerata made sparks at the National University Championships. An edition that of Cassino which was deeply felt because the pandemic had canceled the two previous final stages and the Cus was also trembling because it returned, after eight years, to be a protagonist in team sports. Again with the 5-a-side football team which this season has already given the promotion to the national Serie B of the greats and the victory of the Under21 regional title. The last time was in 2014 and the tricolor adventure ended with gold, this time the futsal group coached by Cristiano Delcuratolo and with Tommaso Mascitti as manager, made us dream but at the last he had to surrender to Cus Ancona in the unprecedented regional final. This silver was however the first medal obtained by the athletes-students from Macerata, then two first places followed thanks to Adele Ceccarelli in the fight and thanks to Erica Sorrentino who ran better than all the 3000 steeplechase. Finally, the bronze of Elena Casarotta on 5000 meters. In short, athletics brought more medals than anyone to via Valerio and it is no coincidence that the section has been producing continuous satisfactions for two years. The last Macerata medal at the CNU dates back to 2018, third place obtained in judo.
