Eintracht Frankfurt and Glasgow Rangers will play the Europa League football final on May 18 in Seville, Spain. At the end of the semi-finals on Thursday, Eintracht Frankfurt, already victorious 1-2 at West Ham, again took the measure of the English 1-0 to qualify after eliminating FC Barcelona, big favorites, in the quarter-finals. In the final, the German club will face Glasgow Rangers. Beaten in Leipzig in the first leg (1-0), the Scottish club turned the tide to win 3-1. all about the C3 in which they played in the final in 2008, lost 2-0 against Zénith Saint-Petersburg.
The captain, James Tavernier, opened the scoring for the Scots and consolidated his first place in the scorers’ rankings of this edition of the Europa League with eight goals (19th), despite his position as a right-back. Five minutes later, Glenn Kamara, normally confined to a replacement role for Alfredo Morelos, took advantage of the Colombian striker’s injury to showcase himself by doubling the bet (24th). In the second period, Christopher Nkunku put his people back in the game (71st) but John Lundstram drowned German hopes about ten minutes from the end (81st).
