Eintracht Frankfurt: Martin Hinteregger missed the Euro final – Bundesliga

This is just unreal! Bad news for Eintracht after reaching the Europa League final…

Defense boss Martin Hinteregger (29) suffered a serious thigh injury in the semi-final second leg against West Ham (1-0). According to the club, the Austrian is out for the rest of the season.

Trainer Oliver Glasner (47): “We were diagnosed with a major muscle injury. He will miss Seville. That is very bitter for him and for us.”

Without Hinti, the Europa League final will take place in Seville (May 18) against Glasgow Rangers.

In the fourth minute, Hinti was caught in a duel with West Ham bull Michail Antonio (32). The striker pushed the Frankfurter, who represented himself and grabbed his right rear thigh. Hinti immediately announced the substitution, but tried again after a short treatment. But in the 8th minute Ösi finally had to go down…

After the final whistle and attack on the pitch, Eintracht’s defense boss was finally comforted by the fans.

As a reminder, three years ago Hinti missed the decisive penalty in the second leg of the semi-finals at Chelsea, now the next bitter setback. The final will take place without him…

In addition: Djibril Sow (25) broke his nose against West Ham and Rafael Borré (26) and Jens Petter Hauge (22) have a muscle tweak…
