The top match between Anderlecht and Club Brugge did not produce too much spectacle on Sunday evening. Both teams were unable to create enough to lay claim to the victory. After a few minutes, De Ketelaere went down after a pushing error by Anderlecht defender Magallan. The referee and VAR did not intervene, incomprehensible according to Club coach Alfred Schreuder.
“I think we can live with this result,” said Alfred Schreuder afterwards. “We started excellent and after 10 minutes you can take the lead 2-0. Noa Lang must then just finish his chance and we have to get that penalty.”
