CDMX will be the country’s judo capital with the 2022 “Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi” National Children’s Championship


The tatamis are ready so that, as of this Friday, May 20, Mexico City (CDMX) will be the capital of judo in the country, with the start of competitions for the 2022 “Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi” National Children’s Championship.

For this reason, judo teams in different states of the Mexican Republic have begun to share photos of their teams that will be in CDMX to be part of this great event, as well as the Cadet, Junior and Senior Mixed Team Tournament.

These competitions will take place at the “Hermanos Galeana” Sports Gymnasium, which is located at Avenida José Loreto Fabela, number 190, Colonia San Juan de Aragón, VII Section, Gustavo A. Madero City Hall, CDMX.

According to the competition agenda, the activities will begin this Friday, May 20, at 10:00 a.m., with the pre-child categories (9 to 10 years of age) and children “A” Sub 13.

For the following Saturday, also at 10:00 am, the combats of the Children’s category “B” Sub 15 will begin; while on Sunday, May 22, the team competitions for Cadet, Junior and Senior Mixed Teams will be held.

As reported, the 2022 “Tomoyoshi Yamaguchi” National Children’s Championship and the Cadet, Junior and Senior Mixed Team Tournament are organized by the Judokas Association of Mexico City (Judo CDMX), in coordination with the Mexican Judo Federation ( FMJ) and the support of the Gustavo A. Madero Mayor’s Office and the CDMX Sports Institute (INDEPORTE).
