Ancelotti won the CL with AC Milan in 2003 and 2007, then he did the same with Real Madrid in 2014. Yesterday in Paris he already won his 4th Cup with the Big Ears. Was this the trickiest title of all? “Yes, I do.”
“At the beginning of the season, nobody thought we could win the Champions League. But we deserved it. We suffered a lot during our course, but we never gave up. With this club it’s just easier to win the Champions League than with any other.”
So what makes Real Madrid so special? “The passion of the supporters, the history, the culture… Real just has a culture of winners. That is what makes the club so special. I am very happy after this spectacular season.”
“What I especially remember about this final is the tranquility of my players,” Ancelotti added. “I didn’t see any tension with them, even though the game was postponed. I was the most nervous myself. I just went to my separate room so that they wouldn’t see me.”
