The XXIII School Games of Basic Education in the discipline of Badminton were inaugurated in which students and student athletes from the municipalities of Axtla, Tamazunchale, Xilitla, Tancanhuitz, Ciudad Valles, Soledad and San Luis Potosí participate.
The inaugural ceremony was headed by the General Director of the Potosino Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, Edmundo Ríos Jáuregui.
The welcome to the participants was given by the Director of INPODE in whose message he highlighted the intentions of the Government of Ricardo Gallardo Cardona to include the municipalities of Potosí in the sports competition programs; He wished them a happy stay and success in the fair.
The sports oath was issued by the athlete Karol Ashlyn Pérez Díaz from Axtla de Terrazas and the inaugural declaration by the Director of Culture and Sports of the Regular State Educational System, Antonia Zavala Rentería, who together with the Director of Inpode Edmundo Ríos gave the kick-off symbolic of the tournament.
Athletes from the schools participate: “Instituto Cervantes Apostólica” and “Instituto Pedagógico” of San Luis Potosí; Elementary School “Pedro Montoya” of Soledad; Primary School “Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla”, and “Lic. Roberto Leyva Torres” of Ciudad Valles; Primary School “Ignacio Ramírez” of Tancanhuitz.
In addition to the “Venustiano Carranza” Elementary School in Xilitla; the “Benito Juárez” and “Manuel José Othón” primary schools in Axtla; “Jaime Nuno” Elementary School, “Francisco I. Madero”, “Amado Nervo” Elementary School and “Squadron 201” School in Tamazunchale.
