Bad news for Marseille supporters!

Next Saturday, 9 p.m., OM will travel to Rennes for a fiery match that looks like a final for the podium. For this part, in addition to the state of form of the players which is not optimal with many injuries, the Marseilles will have to be satisfied with their supporters admitted in the parking lot, the others are prohibited from access to the stadium by the prefecture .

A match that smells like powder. Next Saturday, Jorge Sampaoli and his men will be at Roazhon Park to challenge the Rennes stadium. For a long time OM’s main competitor for second place, Rennes saw Monaco catch up with them and now it’s a three-way fight for two places. The Marseilles still have a slight advantage of 3 points over Monaco and provisionally 6 over Rennes who play tomorrow in Nantes. In case of victory at the canaries, Rennes would come back to 3 points and Sunday’s match would be of paramount importance before the last day.

As we know, the Olympique de Marseille season has been marred by incidents in the stands. Away against Nice and Lyon, at home against Galatasaray and PAOK or more recently against Feyenoord where violent altercations took place between the two groups of supporters. Fearing that the situation would renew itself in Brittany, the prefect of Ille-et-Vilaine prohibited all access to the stadium for OM supporters outside the parking lot. 700 Marseille supporters should be seated in the part of the stands reserved for them.

“Anyone claiming to be an OM supporter or behaving as such is prohibited from accessing the Roazhon Park stadium from 11 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Emmanuel Berthier– prefect of Ille-et-Vilaine
