The Diarco club has recently stayed if its field ceded by Kutxa to practice archery. The plot they had had since 1991 has been sold by the Miramon technology park, which was owned by this area.

Since last April, the members of the oldest club and the largest in the Basque Country in this modality have not been able to make throws and are “desperately” looking for a new place and appeal to the institutions to provide them with a new field where they can practice the throws . For the moment, he has knocked on the door of Kutxa and the City Council to find a solution.

In the statement issued by the club to the media, they lament that “knowing the importance that other sports have, not for less our sport has to have less presence in society.” They also confess that “it would be a shame to deprive San Sebastian of having a club dedicated to archery.”

At this moment, they are training in a room, under the offices of Gipuzkoa Basket. Even so, the minimum distance to practice archery is 100 x 40 meters and they are “in talks with the City Council and Provincial Council to see if they are able to offer us a piece of land,” explains the president of the club, Jesús Mari Gertrudix.
