An afternoon of meetings and reflection this Wednesday at the Prado with Olympic medalists

Two rooms, two atmospheres, but sport as a common denominator. There will be something for everyone, this Wednesday afternoon, in the VIP lounges of the Prado where the meetings on sport and inclusion through sport will be held. At the initiative of this day, three Berruyer clubs: the Aquatic Club of Bourges, Bourges Judo and Bourges XV.

Combining a profession and a passion

“It will first be a question of presenting visitors with the sports offer in the department, with representatives of many clubs, announces Kévin Thuillier, the technical director of Bourges XV. But this is not limited to sports practice as such, we also want to show all the trades that revolve around sport and the jobs that result from this economy. The event is also organized in partnership with the City of Bourges, the local mission and Epide. “The doors are obviously open to everyone, continues the former scrum half. But the idea is mainly to address 13-25 year olds so that they understand that working in sport is not necessarily about enrolling in Staps and becoming a PE teacher. That there are plenty of other ways to combine a profession and a passion. »

With two Olympic medalists

Since to feed a passion, you often need idols, these sports meetings will also be an opportunity to see and hear some great champions come back on their journey. Thus, Alain Bernard, Olympic champion in the 100 meter freestyle in 2008, will take the floor to tell his story. This will also be the case for Luka Mkheidze, bronze medalist at the last Tokyo Olympics and rugby international Élise Pignot.
In parallel with this feedback, round tables will also take place around healthy sport and training.

To know. This Wednesday afternoon, from 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., in the salons of the Prado. Free admission.
