Alije allows to import 6,900 tons of fertilizer in Nueva Palmira

The National Ports Administration (ANP) reported that the release of fertilizer was carried out in the Alpha zone of the Río de la Plata, where 6,900 tons of fertilizer were imported in Nueva Palmira.

The foregoing in a maneuver that had public-private cooperation, from the ANP, Customs, the Navy and Independencia Shipping Lines.

Specifically, the arrival of the product was made possible by allowing the entry of the TN Dawn ship to the Port of Montevideo, which made its subsequent stopover in Nueva Palmira, where the transfer of the cargo to the Intrepido feeder continued.

The process was carried out by the port operator PTP Group and the shipping agencies Universal and Tecnordi, which would be “making it possible and cheaper to import fertilizer for our producers,” according to the ANP.

Regarding the bulk carrier TN Dawn, the ship was built in 2008, sails under the flag of the Marshall Islands, has a deadweight tonnage equivalent to 56,678, a length of 190 meters and a beam of 32 meters.

For its part, the Ro-Ro vessel Intrepido was launched in 1985, with a deadweight tonnage capacity equal to 2,582 and beam and length dimensions of 15 and 95 meters, respectively.
