Mercato: “Reinforcement in all lines”… What positions does PSG want to recruit for this summer?

The tone was clear and incisive. Before the trip to Nice (1-2) last Wednesday, Luis Enrique made no secret of PSG’s intentions for the next summer transfer window. “There will be reinforcement in all lines, that’s a message I send to the current players. I will bring two players per position to fight,” the Spanish coach has already warned. We must therefore expect movement in the capital. And the targeted positions are known. For many weeks, Luis Campos, sports advisor of the Parisian club, has been working on building up the squad and giving the same message to his interlocutors, namely that there will be reinforcement at all levels.

The guard post is a first major project. While Keylor Navas undoubtedly played his last match with Paris, Sunday May 19, in Metz (2-0), PSG is scanning the market in search of a No. 2 capable of playing the match with Gianluigi Donnarumma. Appreciated by the staff, the Spaniard Arnau Tenas was unable to bring sufficiently strong competition in the wake of the Italian, which should push Paris to recruit another goalkeeper. An essential criterion: that he be comfortable at the foot to perform the function of libero or even the team’s first starter.
