Champion Alba Berlin continues to dominate the old basketball classic with former series champion Brose Bamberg.

Two days after the clear opening victory, the capital city prevailed again and lead after 97:85 (47:34) in the best-of-five series with 2:0. The favorite’s best pitcher was Jaleen Smith with 18 points. FC Bayern Munich is also on course so far. The Euroleague quarter-finalist defeated the Niners Chemnitz in the evening with 93:76 (49:26) and also leads 2:0.

Bamberg and Chemnitz would have to win three games in a row to get through. The next two games would take place in Bamberg, a possible fifth game would be in Berlin again. In the following semi-final, the MHP giants Ludwigsburg and ratiopharm Ulm are possible opponents for Alba or Bamberg. Ludwigsburg won the first game after two overtimes on Saturday.

Deshaun Thomas was the best thrower for Munich with 22 points. The former feared opponent Chemnitz, who had won all three mandatory duels before the playoffs this season, has so far been unable to counter Bayern’s offensive power. There were seven home wins in seven games on the first playoff weekend.
