a Breton application to list the results of amateur football clubs

An application that allows you to follow all the results of Breton amateur clubs! The Stadium has already attracted some 8,000 users since last year: the idea, everyone, player, coach or even spectator can enter the score, but also put a photo, know who scored. Victor Rousseau, the founder of the application, is the guest of the New Eco.

FBA: How did you come up with the idea of founding this application?

Victor Rousseau: “I grew up in Cesson-Sévigné, then I joined the Rouge et Noir and went to the Stade Brestois, where I played semi-professional. When I switched back to the amateur world, I I saw that there was a big difference in terms of news between the pro world and the amateur world. I thought it would be useful to have an application with the highlights of the match, a fairly fast, practical application.

When you say there’s not enough information, do you mean it’s a bit under the radar?

Amateur football is the favorite sport of the French, with two million licensees. The high amateur level is highlighted in the newspapers, with Le Télégramme or Ouest-France, but at the lower level, where there are a lot of people, correspondents and journalists cannot be everywhere. The idea is to find tips. Today, with digital, everyone can share match information.

Concretely, how does your application work?

70% of users are gamers. We ask them what their club is, what their team is, because it seemed important to me to have all the teams of a club and not just the pennant team. Next, when the match is going on, everyone around the field can inform the fact that I scored a goal, that you made an assist or that you were voted best player. The idea is to have something simple and participatory, that everyone can collaborate. The player will play his match and around, his friends, his girlfriend, his father or his mother can share the information live.

Live and pictures?

Yes, we follow the highlights, the scorers, the decisive passers, the best players after the match, but there is also a photo section: in the locker room, after the match, the bar. It can be nice to transmit and bring communities to life. Next year, our idea is to bring the video : today, we are in a world of video, football is an animated image and would like to bring this to users.

How many users do you have?

The application has been launched since the summer of 2021. We were initially on a limited population of clubs, and then it spoke a little in the locker room, there were more and more people wanting to be on the application. Since January, I have a partnership with the League of Brittany, which allows me to be present throughout Brittany. Today, I have more than 8,000 users and the idea is really to conquer the whole region, because the market is huge, there are 145,000 licensees in Brittany.”
