ViViBanca Torino ko with Savigliano in the salvation derby

ViViBanca Torino who, with Gonzi still not at his best, confirms Carlevaris in the dribble with Umek opposite, together with Richeri in the band Genovesio plays, preferred to Brugiafreddo, Orlando and Maletto are the central players with Valente free.
Savigliano answers with Vittone as director and Ghibaudo opposite, Galaverna and Dutto are the spikers, Ghio and Mellano the central ones and Gallo the free one.

The Turin players start well and lead 5-9, immediately resumed at 9-9. Richeri in service hurts at the reception of Savigliano and the ViViBanca returns to fly (13-17). Coach Bonifetto then inserts Bossolasco for Dutto and it will be the decisive change for the fate of the match, with the substitute able to offer a “monster” performance in attack with 88% and 14 balls placed on the ground out of 16 attacked, without errors. With Genovesio batting, Turin still extends 14-21 and the home team’s attempt to comeback (21-24) is not enough: Umek closes the set 21-25.

In the second, Savigliano starts better (5-2) with Turin chasing thanks to the usual Umek (5-5). The Cuneo people re-establish the distances (8-5) and no longer allow the parellini to brekkare on the contrary, they progressively lengthen up to 19-12. This is where guests wake up but it’s late now. The comeback stops at 23-22, interrupted by an attack by Galaverna, with a subsequent wall of Ghio on Umek which closes the score on 25-22.

Endless emotions in the third set with continuous reversals in the face in the result. Parella ahead 1-3, reached and passed 5-3. Savigliano tries to escape (13-9) but the Turinese are careful (13-13). The hosts try again and go 21-19. Turin drew it at 22 but in the final it was once again Bonifetto’s team that got the better with yet another winning attack from Galaverna: 26-24.

ViViBanca does not seem to suffer the blow, starting with a spur beaten in the fourth (0-3) but Savigliano immediately returns (3-3) and overtaking on 6-5. Continuous reversals in the result until the hosts begin to stretch (13-11, then 16-13) and with Ghibaudo in service they fly 19-14. Turin no longer has the strength to return to the bottom and the first half of the former Mellano gives Savigliano victory (25-18) and the possibility of playing the season in the play-out against ViViBanca Torino.
