After two years of hiatus because of the health crisis, it will undeniably be the effervescence at the La Noue dojo, on April 9 and 10, with the holding of this 40e international tournament organized by the Judo Club Marnaval/Saint-Dizier in partnership with the county committee and the City.

“There will be great adversity”

This tournament is labeled national by the French federation. It is well placed in the calendar and falls right into the preparation for the senior individual first division semi-finals at the end of April and the French team championships which will take place at the end of May“, advances Francis Clerget, the emblematic technical framework of the Marnaval club. If 600 fighters are registered, Francis Clerget expects a few defections and tables rather between 400 and 500 attendees.

JC Marnaval/Saint-Dizier had won the team challenge of the City of Saint-Dizier during the last edition in 2019 and will try to retain its title, carried in particular by Nawaliatou Babio and Margaux Silvestri, residents of Insep. “There will be great adversity with structures like Orléans, PSG Judo, Sucy-en-Brie or Nice“, slips Francis Clerget. Belgian, Dutch and Luxembourg judokas will also be on the tatami.
