The Belgian Basketball Federation and its French-speaking (AWBB) and Flemish (Basketball Vlaanderen) wings made a donation of 10,000 euros which made it possible to finance an operating room in Ukraine. Basketball Belgium announced this in a press release on Tuesday.

NWe helped finance an operating theater which in the meantime has arrived in Lviv, Ukraine,” said Basketball Belgium President Jan Van Lantschoot.
The federation supported the project of a doctor, the surgeon Bernard Cambier of the Saint-Blaise hospital in Dendermonde, who bought equipment to install an operating theater on site. The material left Belgium and was sent to Ukraine.
“With the transporter Redbouw and the support of the East Flanders Ambulance Center in Dendermonde, this operating theater was able to leave for Lviv in Ukraine, where it has meanwhile arrived safely, which has made it possible to carry out the essential operations, all thanks to the great initiative of Basketball Belgium”, explained Bernard Cambier.
