By delving into the Cuban participation in the 2023 World Classic, Pérez Pardo praised the position of the World Baseball-Softball Confederation (WBSC) and its president Riccardo Fraccari, who denied recognition to an independent Cuban team and placed the FCB as the only entity with the power to represent Cuba in international competitions.

Pérez Pardo said that the Island will prepare for the fight, summoning players from its National Series and “others who respond to certain technical-tactical demands.”
