The amateur tournament returned to Cartagena – Gaceta Cartagonova

Last weekend, the Amateur and inclusive competition that the Regional Badminton Federation launched years ago and that has been taking place season after season took place at the Wssell Pavilion in Guimbarda in Cartagena.
On this occasion, about forty players from the CB Las Torres, CB Cartagena, CB Infante and CB Molina clubs participated. The players left everything on the court and with respect and sportsmanship they enjoyed badminton and the competition with an atmosphere of friendship at all times that made all the players and their companions enjoy a magnificent morning of badminton with very close matches.
In the men’s singles, the winner was Ángel Cruz (CB Cartagena) who defeated David Moreno (CB Las Torres) in the final by 16-14 and 15-11, with Iain Alexander Moody (CB Cartagena) and José Luis Sagrario (CB Cartagena) third. Infant).
In women’s singles, the winner was Aurora Alías Candel (CB Molina), and runner-up Yolanda Fernández (CB Infante) in a final with a score of 15-13 15-3. Third classified was Gema Morales Martínez (CB Infante).
The men’s doubles went to the couple Antonio Martínez Frutos and José Luis Sagrario (CB Infante), defeating Francisco Jose Díaz Hernández and Carlos Villalba (CB Cartagena) in a tight final, 15-8 15-9, third classified were David Moreno and Moises Moreno (CB Las Torres).
The women’s doubles was won by the players Ariadna Albaladejo and Irene Delicado (CB Cartagena) beating Natalia Campoy Monreal and Gema Morales Martínez (CB Infante) in a tight final 9-15 15-13 15-10.
Finally, in mixed doubles, the winners were Angel Cruz and Patricia García (CB Cartagena), with Antonio Martínez Frutos and Marta Martínez (CB Infante) silver.
