JawaPos.com-The PP PBSI 2021 National Working Conference (Mukernas) has been held at the Ayana Midplaza Hotel, Sudirman, Central Jakarta. There are several points to be discussed in this mukernas. Namely, the presentation of the 2021 report and the plan for the PBSI fields in 2022.
The biggest plan is to reach the pinnacle of achievement at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Indonesian badminton legend Taufik Hidayat assessed that what was reported at the Mukernas was only standard.
Taufik, who is also the Deputy Governor of West Java PBSI Province, asked the Development and Achievement Division (Binpres) not only to take care of the center. This is because athletes in the regions must also receive more programs.
The 2004 Athens Olympic gold medalist realized that achievement could be seen from the national training. But without the regional contribution, according to Taufik, the center will not run optimally.
Taufik himself has resigned from the Expert Staff of the PP PBSI Binpres as of March 2022. Why resign? The 2005 world champion felt that he was no longer in line with the PP PBSI coaching system.
He revealed, there were several internal problems that he was not involved in. Therefore, he sent a letter to withdraw.
Taufik is vocal in criticizing coaching in areas that have 34 provincial administrators throughout Indonesia. Taufik said that players or coaches who could not lead to the championship in national training should be replaced immediately.
According to him, there are still many other players that can be developed. In addition, many potential technical and physical trainers have not been tried by PP PBSI’s national training.
The following is an excerpt from Taufik Hidayat’s full statement in a chat with reporters in Jakarta yesterday (14/4).
What is the reason you decided to resign from the expert staff of PP PBSI Binpres?
The reason why I resigned from PBSI was because I was not in line with the coaching system at Binpres. And a lot. There were several internal problems, but I was not involved there. So I sent a letter to withdraw.
Even if there is me or not, PBSI is still fine. No effect. It’s better for me to back off. I also don’t want to be there as a display, but I don’t contribute.
In your view, what should be improved within the PBSI body?
Should it be repaired, yes in the national training which is in the public spotlight. But don’t forget, there are accomplices and members in the area. This central board oversees 34 provinces. In the area, the parent goes to the center. The program must be used.
In national training, they have to really dissect mistakes. What’s wrong, it’s the same from year to year. If a player who has not had any achievements for a long time, there are still many other players who can be fostered again.
There are still many coaches, both technical and physical that have not been tried.
Come on discussed. Don’t assume yourself. And I also don’t like it when someone is drawn to it (Pelatnas) based on proximity. There must be criteria for both players and coaches.

What I see is that players, technical coaches and physical coaches don’t seem to be in line. There should be a discussion for one program.
For example (Anthony) Ginting and Jonathan (Christie) the training patterns should be different. If there is sport science it should be different. Jonathan is this heavy, Ginting is like this. The physical trainer must also be strengthened. Training in gym-nya, I think it’s less amplified.
Technical and physical trainers I don’t think are compatible. There are many coaches who confide, eventually walking alone. Because exercise is not adapted to endurance.
What is your view on the PP PBSI Mukernas?
What’s reported is standard. If the reports that have been done, are still in the atmosphere of Covid-19. They also only reported what was already running at the central PBSI. So mostly in training.
In the future program, on the Binpres side, I represent West Java, please very Binpres should not be on top. In the regions also need programs.
There is no national training, if in the area it doesn’t work. If it’s in a dead area, it’s also impossible to have a national training. So I asked the central management not only for national training. Indeed, the final result of achievement is seen in the national training.
But in the regions, programs must also be made. In the regions have, the center has. Because we are parented to the center.
What were you promised when you were appointed as special staff for Binpres?
So, actually there is an old board who is involved again in the current management. I also represent the West Java Provincial Government and from there I was asked to become a Binpres staff.
No once I promise, but hopefully that will change. not like in the past. That is, do not be called in PSBI but just a name only. That the hell hope it. Moreover, it’s time for me no want to be asked PBSI.
Right all this time, badminton has grow up me. That makes me kayak now yes because because of badminton. If they are prosecuted and put in the Binpres, yes, we are the experts. And have experienced it. But no once promised nothing.
Apart from voices that have never been heard, what made you the most disappointed that you decided to leave PBSI?
So let’s continue, it just so happens that there is a manager who is an old man, so it happens so and so again. No been invited to give input in official matters, in official meetings, when going to decide something official.

No pity leaving PBSI?

I’ve already no want, so I’m better no don’t be there. Even though I’m not at PBSI, I can still be dedicated to regional badminton.

As the Chairman of PB SGS Bandung, what are your views regarding the transfer of athletes?
If the athlete wants to move, so be it. If you can do more. The important thing is that they move, they must be happy and achieve again. It’s not just that he’s emotional, he’s angry, keeps moving. For example in the matter of bonuses. So far, only clubs that can afford to give bonuses. Cannot be generalized. The bonus remains in accordance with the ability of the club.
If you change clubs, does the player use a transfer system or what?
Yes, there is a transfer. Because at the central PBSI, there are rules. So what is the ranking of 1 to 5 in the world, what are the numbers 5 to 10? If I’m not mistaken, Fajar (Alfian) if he wants to move, according to the regulations, he must pay Rp. 2 billion. Because he is ranked 7.
