Four Salzburg judoka at Junior EC at the start
Strong performance by Seekirchen native Sickinger Larissa (Judogym Salzburg-Seekirchen) at the Junior European Cup in the Italian holiday resort of Lignano. The 17-year-old SSM student only had to admit defeat to the Hungarian Rebekka Keller in the final and conquered silver in the 52kg class with a great performance and thus her first European Cup podium!
Sanjindo girl Dengg Elena (-70kg) just missed the podium. After winning bronze at the last Junior European Cup in Portugal, Elena is fifth this time with three wins and two losses. Club colleague Illmer Hubert also secured an EC podium place (second place) in Portugal. This time the 100kg fighter ends up in seventh place. Schwarzl Tim (PSV Salzburg/-81kg) wins his first fight, but is eliminated with a defeat in the second round.
