Shooting for a children’s baseball game – Noticieros Televisa

In South Carolina, a shooting interrupted a children’s baseball game. As can be seen in a video of the incident, the children had to stop the game and run after hearing the shots.

The events occurred on the night of April 25 in the city of North Charleston, located in South Carolina. According to witnesses, a municipal children’s league game was being played on the baseball field when Multiple shots began to ring out.

Blake Ferguson, father of one of the children, recorded the moment the shooting began, just before the pitcher threw the ball. As soon as the first shots were heard, the children stopped playing to seek shelter.

Some of them immediately ran out of the diamond, while others threw themselves to the ground. Towards the end of the video, most of the children manage to take shelter outside the field, in the company of their parents and other assistants.

The shooting would have happened in the parking lot of the baseball park, a few meters from the children. Some cars of the attending parents would have been damaged by the bullets.

The local police would have arrived at the scene just a minute after the detonations began to ring out. However, those responsible had already fled.

North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey offered a $10,000 reward anyone who collaborates with information that leads to the arrest of those responsible.
