Scheffler, more leader after Augusta and Rahm falls to third place

The American Scottie Scheffler reinforced his position as number one in the world, after his victory at the Augusta Masters (Georgia, USA), after which the Spanish Jon Rahm gives up a position and is thirdbehind the American Collin Morikawa.

The title in Augusta, which has been Scheffler’s first “major”, keeps him in a privileged first place and adds to the triumphs he has achieved this season at the Phoenix Open (first title of his career), the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play golf.

The 25-year-old American has an average points of 10, compared to Morikawa’s 7.9, Rahm’s 7.8 and Norwegian Viktor Hovland’s 7.4. which remains in fourth position. The fifth place is now for the Australian Cameron Smith, with an average of 7.3 points.

Among the top ten, the improvement of the Northern Irishman stands out Rory McIlroy with his second position at Augusta, moving up from ninth to seventh (6.4) and accompanies in the select group the Americans Patrick Cantlay (6th/6.9), Justin Thomas (8th/5.7), Dustin Johnson (9th/5.4) and Sam Burns (10th/5), to the detriment of his compatriot Xander Schauffele (11th /5).

LSpaniards Sergio García and Adri Arnau improve their positions in the updated classification this Monday. The former climbs six places to return to the top 50 and position himself at 46, with an average of 2.2, and Adri Arnau improves two and is now in 80th place (1.7).

Mexican Abraham Ancer drops from fifteenth to eighteenth; the Colombian Sebastián Muñoz also drops two places (69), the Mexican Carlos Ortiz lost one (82), the Venezuelan Jhonattan Vegas gave up two (88) and the Chilean Mito Pereira another two (97).
