Santa Marinella: “Recovering sports spaces among the priorities of this administration”

Still good news on the redevelopment and implementation of the sports facilities in the Santa Marinella area. This was announced by the Mayor Pietro Tidei who is working on new initiatives, with the collaboration of the municipal councilor delegated to sport Marina Ferullo. “Much has been done in recent years since our administration took office, which I will never tire of remembering found practically all the sports facilities closed and uninhabitable, but we certainly do not stop to admire the results already achieved and look to the future. Meanwhile, in recent months we have been able to finance other improvements to the already modern and functional new school gym in Via delle Colonie with an additional 80 thousand euros. Now finally all the interventions have been completed for the creation of comfortable changing rooms available to all students and athletes who use this new fully equipped facility.

We are now also working to redevelop the old municipal swimming pool in via Aurelia, while confirming the forthcoming construction of the new swimming facility that will rise within the sports city in via delle Colonie. For this old structure we have two possibilities that we can implement; the first envisages using funds from the Coni or the PNRR to create a new international Olympic Badminton and para badminton center in this area to be made available to athletes with disabilities who excel in this sport. There is also the possibility, however, of being able to participate in a new tender and access additional funding to renovate the old indoor pool and bring it up to standard.
