“The cup is very important for us, we all still have the great DFB cup games here in the Preußenstadion in mind. We definitely want to repeat that,” emphasized SCP trainer Sascha Hildmann. Of course, the football coach knows how difficult the task is. “Verl will be a really difficult task. We know Verl, we know some of the lads. They have a good offensive, are quick on the wings. We mustn’t get into moments of transition that hurt us. However, we want our game to have a lot of ball possession get through.”

Hildmann announced changes in two or three positions, also with a view to the away game against Schalke next Sunday (2 p.m., RevierSport-Live ticker) against the U23 of Gelsenkirchen. “Everyone is fit at the moment and I hope it stays that way until kick-off,” said Hildmann, who of course always has the big goal of returning to the 3rd division in the back of his mind in addition to the cup victory he is aiming for.
