On the 18th, the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) and the 12 teams decided to hold an extraordinary representative meeting online and conduct a questionnaire on the aftereffects of athletes who have recovered from the new coronavirus infection. Each team will investigate the symptoms and duration within the next 10 days.
Atsushi Ihara, the secretary general of NPB, said, “I would like to hear the opinions of expert teachers with the results. I would like to show (to the players) how to respond and how to respond.”
Yoshikazu Nonomura, chairman, announced the results of the survey at an online press conference of the “Corona Countermeasures Liaison Conference” with the J.League prior to the conference. He explained that “there were more than a dozen percent (of infected people) with sequelae. I haven’t heard any serious cases.”
