With the support of the San Luis Country Club, yesterday the official presentation of the LVI San Luis Potosí Veterans Tennis Tournament was made, which will take place from the 14th to the 17th of this year.
In a well-known hotel in the center of the city, the presentation of this event was held, which was attended by Francisco Orozco, director of the tournament, Alejandro Muñoz Remolina, on behalf of Club Campestre SL, Cindy Hernández, on behalf of INPODE, Olga Contreras from the APT, Norma Méndez, organizer of the event, Hugo Guerrero, director of social sports for the municipality, and Erick de la Paz, who will be the general referee.
It was announced that for this event there will be the presence of around 60 players, who will take part in the categories of +30, +40, +50, +6′, +70 only in the men’s branch, and will play in the singles and doubles mode.
The competition system will be in singles to direct elimination with consolation in the first round, three sets will be played, in the first two with a tie break and in the third ten points (super tie break), in doubles a set will be played to eight games without advantages and in case of seven equals a super tie break will be played.
Until now, the participation of tennis players from Monterrey, Monclova, Zacatecas, Mexico City, Guadalajara and San Luis Potosí has already been confirmed.
On Wednesday, April 13 at 12:30 p.m. in the Country Club, the draw will be held, the registration for doubles from Thursday 14 of the present only at the referee’s table.
