The 34-year-old three-point specialist last played in mid-March due to a ligament injury in his left foot, but now seems ready to return. He doesn’t necessarily have to be at 100 percent, said Curry. Instead, he wondered if he could help the team and make a difference. “If I feel the answer is yes, then I will play.”
Head coach Steve Kerr also expressed his confidence. “A lot of guys are going to get condition problems after two minutes after a month’s break,” Kerr said. “But Steph is in such great shape, he has such an incredible foundation in terms of conditioning.” The Warriors are one of the favorites for the title, but they have to be able to rely on a fit Curry. The first round of the playoffs is against the Denver Nuggets and Nikola Jokic. Game one of the series in best-of-seven mode rises on Sunday (2:30 a.m./CEST).
