Major League Baseball confirmed that the headphones and a letter signed by Manfred they were left in each player’s locker when teams began their seasons on Thursday and Friday. The present was first reported by The Athletic.
“Please accept this gift as a small gesture of my gratitude for the hard work that goes into being a Major League Baseball player and their respect for our incredible fans,” wrote the MLB commissioner, Rob Manfred.
“thanks for all you do in a game that has such rich wealth. history and deep meaning for our fans in the US and around the world. I wish them the best of luck for a successful season.”
The relationship of Manfred with the players has become more and more cold since it happened to Bud Selig as commissioner in 2014. However, this MLB start seems to have started in the best way, plagued by exciting matches.
