After his rather cryptic statement, Kylian Mbappé left the reporters in the evening rain in Paris. “I haven’t decided on next year yet”, the superstar explained to Prime Video after beating Lorient 5-1. The reason is that “there are new elements”.
And he was gone. The result is wild speculation about what exactly the 23-year-old could have meant. One spoke of the captain’s armband that Mbappé waved at Paris St. Germain. Guillem Balague, a Spanish journalist, has a different approach: he names 150 million euros that PSG should offer the sprinter in return for a two-year contract extension.
According to Balague, Mbappé now expects Real Madrid to top the offer from the French sheikh club again. That could be difficult, however, because when it comes to salaries, the royals are more homogeneous than on the Seine.

Theoretically, Mbappé could take until the summer to make a decision about his future employer. It is quite possible that the football fan will have to deal with rumors about the French world champion of 2018 for a few more weeks.
