LPGA: Nasa Hataoka wins the Los Angeles Open, Maude-Aimée Leblanc finishes 43rd

LOS ANGELES – Japan’s Nasa Hataoka had a strong final round and won the Los Angeles Open on Sunday.

Leading by four strokes going into the final round, Hataoka turned in a 67 (minus-4) to earn a convincing win by five strokes over Hannah Green.

Hataoka concluded the tournament with a cumulative score of minus-15 on the course at Wilshire Golf Club. The 23-year-old golfer earned her sixth career victory on the LPGA Tour.

After seven straight pars, Hataoka all but closed the books when she landed an eagle at the 15th pennant, giving her a six-shot lead.

Green shot 68. The Australian won her two LPGA titles in 2019.

Madelene Sagstrom (66), Minjee Lee (68) and Inbee Park (70) all tied for third with a combined score of minus-7.

Jin Young Ko, who collapsed late in the round on Saturday, had a tough day. She completed the course in 75 strokes to slip into a tie for 21st place.

The only Maple Leaf representative to participate in the weekend rounds, Quebecer Maude-Aimée Leblanc shot 67 and finished the event in 43rd place.
